I'm a 24 year-old antsy and insatiable dreamer, a traveler at heart. I'm currently taking a small break from being a vagabond so I can save up a few bucks before I hit the road again.
On my way to France, I had a stopover in Iceland. IcelandAir has a deal where you can stop in Iceland for free on your way to most other European countries, so why not?
I spent my last vacation as an assistant walking from Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. It's a pilgrimage known as "The Way of St. James" or "El Camino de Santiago de Compostela." It was 2 weeks of misery, but I finished it.
After my contract finished, I got out of France and traveled a bit. I hitchhiked around Western Turkey with a friend, spent some time in Madrid, the Canary Islands, Paris and NYC. It was great, but nice to go home.
I've met a lot of great people with great stories of hitchhiking all over the world, and finally decided to join the club. After my first 30 or so rides, I realized that I was forgetting everyone I'd met. To remedy that, I recently started taking a picture with them before saying goodbye.
